Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Background of Parade

The Savannah St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of the largest in the United States. Since 1824, the parade has featured marching bands, dancers, floats, and Budweiser Clydesdale horses drawing thousands of visitors each year. This beloved event brings the community together to honor Irish heritage, faith, and culture on a day of celebration.

What to Bring

For Savannah's St. Patrick's Day Parade, be prepared for nearly four hours of excitement. Bring a chair, snacks, and water to stay comfortable along the parade route as well. For a prime view, consider bleacher seating options with Kelly Tours at Bay Street, Cathedral Basilica, or Colonial Park Cemetery. If you're looking for a more exclusive experience, upgrade to the VIP party for gourmet food, drinks, and reserved seating.

Parking

Planning your parking ahead of parade day is essential. Carpool with friends to avoid traffic and limited parking. Alternatively, take advantage of the official shuttle service, offered by Old Savannah Tours for $25. Be aware that vehicles will be towed from the parade route and surrounding areas starting at 12:01a on March 17th. Look for NO PARK signs posted ahead of time to avoid costly towing fees.
